Meet the staff
I have extensive experience working in diverse communities teaching gardening and cooking skills, from preschoolers to the elderly. I am passionate about equipping communities to grow their own food and inspire them to make healthier food choices in their kitchen. I believe experiential learning is key to positive change and that by claiming a active role in food consumption, empowers individuals.
I am a nutrition educator for Yuba county. I have conducted cooking and nutrition classes for participants of different age ranges from a multitude of diverse communities. I am originally from Long Beach, CA and received my bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2018.
I am a student at Chico State where I am studying Health Education. During my freetime I enjoy reading, hiking and dancing. I am passionate about helping people learn, grow and live their happiest lives.
I am a program assistant at the Center for Healthy Communities. I have a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Health Education from Chico State University. My background is in program reporting and administrative work. I am also very passionate about helping others create a healthy lifestyle.
I am a community nutrition assistant who is currently studying Nutrition and Food Science at Chico State. I love educating others on the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
